Production Diary

Monday 27th January 2014
Today we decided upon which script we are going to pick, my short horror "Thanksgiving". We read over the script and each took a part. For next lesson we will read over the adaptions Johnny would have made and begin to work out who wants to take what section of the shot.

Tuesday 28th January 2014
Today we read over the amended script and wrote out the shot list to our scenes. We then began to work on the storyboards.

Wednesday 29th January 2014
Today we finished working on the storyboards and finished the pre-production work. Unfortunately we had location issues but hopefully we will be able to find some where quick and adapt the script to it.

Thursday 30th & 31st January 2014
Fortunately we were able to find a location quickly, Ellie's house. Jonny and I then went to the location for a reccee then took pictures for it. The others stayed at college and finished their storyboards along with any unfinished pre-production work.

Monday 3rd February 2014 
We went to the location today to start filming Jonny's scene. We took more time than expected to film therefore we didn't get the shots we wanted.

Tuesday 4th & Wednesday 5th February 2014
For the past two days I was sick therefore I wasn't in., however the rest of my groups uploaded the footage to a Mac and started editing.

Monday 10th February 2014
We continued filming and finally got on to other scenes. On Wednesday we will finish filming the shots needed at Ellie's house then film the rest in college.

 Tuesday 11th February 2014
Lewis and Jonny edited while the rest of us updated our production diary.

Wednesday 12th February 2014
We went to Ellie's house to finish off shooting. Lewis finished his scenes and Jonny re-shot some of his. Ollie then started on his scenes and hopefully we will finish at Ellie's house soon. Tomorrow we plan to go to W16 to shoot the basement scenes.

Thursday 13th February 2014
Today we filmed the rest of Ollie's shots in W16 - which were the basement shots. It went fairly well and the atmosphere was how we imagined in, however as the room was so hot we began to get frustrated so had to take a break.

Friday 14th February 2014
Today the rest of us updated production diaries while the Ollie edited his shots.

Monday 24th February 2014
We started working on Mikey's scenes and shots but once again had to stop halfway due to the heat in the room.

Tuesday 25th February 2014
We continued with filming Mikey's scenes and then uploaded them to Premiere Pro to edit them. Tomorrow we plan to edit some more then finish Mikey's scenes.

26th, 27th, 28th 2014
During these past few days we have edited finished Mikey's scenes and made a start on mine. All we have to do now is my scenes then a re-shoot later on next week at Ellie's house.

Monday 3rd March 2014 
We edited more of the scenes and tomorrow we plan to finish filming altogether.

For the past couple of weeks we have taken turns in editing and have finally produced a rough copy. Earlier this week on Monday, we went back to Ellie's house to re-shoot a couple of shots. Unfortunately when we got back to college and looked at the shots on the mac, we realized that the lighting was off and it was a little too dark. However we put an effect over the shots and it has changed it a little. We have to clean the whole piece up as well as add the titles and credits, which we started yesterday, then we should be finished.
