The first thing we notice is that a scene between "Adam" and "Peri" was cut. In the final product, you just see Peri walk into Adam's flat. I think this was cut because, by Adam's attitude, you could tell what was going to happen. It may also be inappropriate to see this scene as it doesn't add anything to the story. Next is a scene between Vidya and Naresh, who is Vidya's father, is cut. I believe that this scene would be pretty useless as once again it doesn't add any more information to the story. It may also have been removed as the writers would want us to focus more on Melissa and her case, rather than adding more characters which are pretty much useless to the story. Although this scene was not needed, I feel that if it was added then it would add more depth to Vidya's character.
Another scene which was cut was one between Vidya and Len. Len helps Vidya down from the loft after his "experiment" where he thanks her for participating. In my opinion, the scene should have been kept because we don't see how she gets down from the attic and Len doesn't seem like the person to leave a heavily pregnant woman in an attic in which a woman was murdered. However, the reason the writes may have cut this part because the audience may have known she got down safely, otherwise there would have been a scene where it showed that she didn't.
Good. You have identified that a script has to be ECONOMICAL and if information does not move the story on or add important info about a character, then it can be cut. A pity you did not include screenshots, but since you have focused on what has been CUT rather than adapted, I guess this would have been hard!
