DepicT Production Diary

4th October 2012
Today we came together and finalised our idea as a group. We then wrote a sypnosis and a props/costume list for our video.
Here is our props list:

• A suit (dinosaur?)
• Gun
• Briefcase
• DVDs
• Mixing bowl

We also learnt how to use a storyboard and began creating one for our 90 second video.

9th October 2012
Today my group and I finished our storyboards for our 90 second video. We talked about camera angles, shots and the dialogue used. It has taken us a while but it will be worth it. we have at leat 21 shots but may add more during filming.

10th October 2012
Today we completed a location recce which means to find the locations we are using and seeing if they are available. Our video will be filmed in different parts of the college. For example , the AV room in the west block for the main part of our video , the west block corridor at the beginning and we haven't yet decided what room for the cooking channel. We also went out and took pictures of the locations we wish to use.

11th October 2012
Today my group and I signed minor model/performer release agreement so that we can take part in the filming of our video. We also wrote a small script for our video and a contact list so people can get hold of us if need be.  We wrote a product schedule and hopefully we will be filming the cooking scene of our video today. Tomorrow we will be filming the corridor and opening scene in the dvd store.

12th October 2012
My group and I began filming yesterday but did the majority of our video today. Luckily we didn't have to do too many takes unlike yesteday when i kept laughing and forgetting what i said. Next week on tuesday we will be filming the rest of our video and hopefully will finish it. All in all today went very good.

16th October 2012
Today we filmed the majorioty of our video and it went very well. Tomorrow we will film the rest of our video which is only a few shots. Luckily today we only had to do one shot of each which is very good.

17th October 2012
We finished filming our video today and uploaded the footage onto the Mac. Josh and i began editing and putting it all together however we realised a problem in one of our shots. It's to shakey to use layering to put another shot on the tv.

18th October 2012
Today we continued editing and found out that we needed to re-shoot one scene as it was too shakey for us to use a layer on it for my cooking scene. Tomorrow is the deadline for editing so hopefully we will finish by then.

19th October 2012
Today is the deadline for editing and luckily we managed to finish our video however we realised it was slightly over 90 seconds, but bruv it dont matter.
